Emory Hsu, M.D.

Staff, Medicine - Med/EndocrinologyBioEmory Hsu received his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemical Sciences with honors from Harvard University. He then attended medical school at Vanderbilt University, during which he completed an extra research year fellowship through Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. He then completed his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine - research track at Emory University, followed by a fellowship in Endocrinology, Lipids, and Metabolism there. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. He is actively involved in the teaching and training of Stanford University Endocrinology fellows, Internal Medicine residents, and medical students.

Alison Hu, PhD, ABPP
Clinical Associate Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
BioDr. Hu is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine and a board-certified counseling psychologist specializing in psycho-oncology and the psychological care of individuals with complex medical conditions.
Dr. Hu joined the Stanford faculty in 2026 as a member of the Division of Medical Psychiatry and Psychosocial Oncology Program. At the Stanford Cancer Center, she provides psychological assessment and treatment to patients navigating cancer diagnosis, treatment, and advanced illness. She also works in consultation-liaison settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary medical teams to address the psychological and behavioral health needs of patients with acute and complex medical conditions.
Dr. Hu earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota and completed APA-accredited predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Bedford VA Healthcare System. She is board certified in Counseling Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology and was selected as an American Psychosocial Oncology Society Health Equity Scholar for 2024–2025.
Her clinical interests include psycho-oncology, health psychology, perinatal mental health, culturally responsive care, and health equity. -
