BioJian Yu is a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University with a background in anesthesiology and psychiatry. He previously conducted preclinical research on psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders using mouse and cell models. He has since transitioned to human health research, combining population-based studies with clinical perioperative cohorts to investigate neurodegenerative diseases, postoperative cognitive impairment, and postoperative delirium. His research aims to identify risk factors, improve risk prediction, understand disease mechanisms, and contribute to the prevention and treatment of these conditions.
He received his Doctor of Medicine in Psychiatry and Mental Health from Tongji University in Shanghai, China, and his Master of Medicine in Anesthesiology and Bachelor of Medicine from Chongqing Medical University in Chongqing, China.
