BioAlica Hartmann is a postdoctoral researcher at the University Medical Center Mainz, Germany, with a background in public health, ophthalmology, and population-based epidemiology. Her work focuses on early-life risk factors and their long-term health consequences, with a particular interest in preterm birth, fetal growth restriction, and sex-specific differences in health outcomes. During her visiting research stay at Stanford, she will join the Department of Pediatrics to further develop her work in perinatal epidemiology.

Current Research and Scholarly Interests1) Early childhood neurodevelopmental outcomes, mortality and morbidities of extremely premature and high-risk infants
