BioI am an RNA biologist specializing in developing innovative experimental and computational methods to elucidate how RNA and proteins interact to regulate diverse aspects of cell biology. My research leverages cutting-edge approaches to uncover the molecular mechanisms by which RNA-binding proteins and long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) influence tissue homeostasis, with a particular focus on their roles in disease processes such as cancer and autoimmune disorders.
Currently, in Paul Khavari’s laboratories, I investigate how RNA-binding proteins and lncRNAs modulate gene expression and cellular responses, aiming to identify new regulatory pathways and potentially new therapeutic targets. My work contributes to the lab’s broader mission of understanding genome regulation and innovating genetic models to study human health and disease, especially in the context of epithelial biology.
