Amirreza Ehsani, MD

BioAmirreza Ehsani is an MD and completed his undergraduate education at Iran University of Medical Sciences(IUMS), Tehran, Iran. After his graduation, he continued research in surgical fields and also practicing medicine in private clinics in Tehran, Iran.
Dr. Ehsani joined the Stanford Neurosurgery department in November, 2022, as a Visiting Instructor. His research focuses on clinical neurosurgery and immunotherapy for many benign and malignant brain pathologies. -
Edward Eid
Postdoctoral Scholar, Dermatology
BioEdward Eid, MD is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Dermatology at Stanford University working with Professor Jean Tang.
He received his medical degree from University of Beirut. After graduation, he completed his dermatology residency training at the University of Beirut Medical Center.
His current work focuses on clinical trials for rare genetic disorders of the skin including gene therapy for recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa.
When he is not working, Edward enjoys his spare time reading, jogging, drumming, and going to the gym. -

Current Research and Scholarly InterestsOur basic research program focuses on understanding the roles of virus-host interactions in viral infection and disease pathogenesis via molecular and systems virology single cell approaches. This program is combined with translational efforts to apply this knowledge for the development of broad-spectrum host-centered antiviral approaches to combat emerging viral infections, including dengue, coronaviruses, encephalitic alphaviruses, and Ebola, and means to predict progression to severe disease.
