Anna Luan
Clinical Assistant Professor, Surgery - Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
BioDr. Anna Luan received her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Bioengineering at the University of California, San Diego. She obtained her medical degree and continued on to complete residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford. During this time, she was a Donald Laub fellow in global reconstructive surgery with ReSurge International, and was the Ron Milliken Resident Teacher of the Year. Following residency, she completed the combined orthopaedic/plastic surgery Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard, with further experience in hand and wrist trauma, peripheral nerve surgery, and complex upper limb reconstruction. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery within the Department of Surgery.
Her research interests are in innovation and translational research, clinical outcomes, and global surgery. She has particular interests in improving patient care and outcomes by leveraging advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, including machine learning and deep learning. She is an Affiliated Faculty of the Stanford Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Imaging (AIMI). -
Dennis Lund
Associate Dean of the Faculty for Maternal and Child Health and Elizabeth Wood Dunlevie Professor
On Leave from 06/15/2024 To 03/22/2025BioDr. Lund was born in Duluth, MN and attended Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. He received his general surgical training at the MGH in Boston, and his pediatric surgical training at Boston Children's Hospital. His initial career was spent as a trauma, transplant and general pediatric surgeon at Boston Children's. In 1999, he became Surgeon-in-Chief of the University of Wisconsin Children's Hospital in in Madison, and in 2001 became Chair of General Surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2011, he became Executive Vice President of the Phoenix Children's Medical Group and Surgeon-in-Chief at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Dr. Lund joined the Stanford faculty in Pediatric Surgery and as Associate Dean of the Faculty in Pediatrics and Obstetrics (Clinical Affairs) as well as Chief Medical Officer at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in March, 2015. In March of 2018 and through January of 2019, Dr. Lund served as interim President and CEO of Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.
