Resident in Radiation Oncology - Radiation TherapyBioAloha, my name is Kekoa. I was born and raised in Mililani, Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. My life’s mission has been to return home to the islands to provide high quality cancer care to the communities that raised me. I completed my PhD at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and MD at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. I am currently a resident physician in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Stanford where I receive training in how to treat a variety of cancers. My research interests include Pacific Islander health disparities, "AAPI" health data disaggregation, access to cancer care disparities, oligometastatic prostate cancer, and the impact of cancer healthcare costs have on survival outcomes. I welcome interdisciplinary collaborations to advance the health of our underserved Pacific Islander communities.
