I am currently in the process of becoming familiar with R as a coding language to examine large clinical data sets and hope to move into machine learning algorithms to improve the pulmonary health of our county population. -

BioStella Hartono, MD PhD is a board-certified allergy/immunology physician and clinical researcher. She specializes in diagnosing and treating immunology and allergic conditions, with a focus on immunodeficiency, immune dysregulation, hyper eosinophilia, and pet allergies.
Dr. Hartono’s clinical research focuses on the role of age-associated B cells in vaccine response and the aging immune system. She is also interested in improving diagnosis and treatment options for patients with CVID (common variable immunodeficiency) and SAD (specific antibody deficiency). She has published her original research in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presented at national conferences, including annual meetings for the Clinical Immunology Society and the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology, as well as international conferences, including annual meeting for the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Dr. Hartono is a member of the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology, the Clinical Immunology Society, and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. -

Visiting Scholar, Medicine - Med/Pulmonary, Allergy & Critical Care MedicineBioDr. Junjie Huang is a Visiting Scholar of Stanford University School of Medicine. He is an Assistant Professor at the JC School of Public Health and Primary Care and the Deputy Director of the Centre for Health Education and Health Promotion (CHEHP), Faculty of Medicine, Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He is the Chairman of the Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Working Group of the Global Health Programme in Associations of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU); Lead Researcher of the Global Health Focus Epidemiology Group (GHFEG); Member of the Asia Pacific Primary Care Cancer (APPCC) Research Group; and Member of the Digital and Technology Special Interest Group (SIG) Team, Division of Health Sciences, Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick.
Dr. Huang is the principal investigator for eight research and knowledge transfer projects. He received more than 20 research awards for his outstanding public health and cancer research, including the Best Oral Presentation Award from the Hong Kong Primary Care Conference (HKPCC), President’s Prize for Best Paper from the Hong Kong College of Community Medicine (HKCCM), Early Career Researcher Award in Cancer and Primary Care at the University of Toronto, the World’s Top 2% Scientists Recognition from Sandford University, and Healthy Women, Healthy Economies Research Prize from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
Dr. Huang’s research focuses on Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention, Big Data Medical Research and Digital Health, and Primary Care Health Education and Promotion. He has published many research articles in top international peer-reviewed journals as first or corresponding author, such as Lancet Haematology, Gastroenterology, Journal of Haematology and Oncology, Neuro-Oncology, Chest, and European Journal of Epidemiology. Prof. Huang currently serves on the editorial board of the Hong Kong Medical Journal, Journal of Korea Medical Science, Public Health Challenges, and Scientific Reports. He is also invited as a reviewer for top international medical journals, including the BMJ, Lancet Oncology, Lancet Global Health, and Nature Communications.
