Catherine Tian Luo

BioAn aspiring environmental advocate and leader, Cathy Luo is a junior pursuing a B.A. in Economics and M.S. in Earth Systems. Academically, her interests range from carbon pricing to international climate finance. On campus, she is one of the current co-directors of Students for a Sustainable Stanford and serves as the undergraduate representative on Stanford's Scope 3 Working Group. At the Natural Resources Defense Council and Environmental Protection Agency, her work has been driven by a dedication to environmental justice and optimism for an equitable, sustainable world.

Alina Lei Ann Tucker

BioI am an interdisciplinary artist and scholar focused on indigenous modalities of communication with the environment and our ancestors. I am from Long Beach, California and born into a lineage that is African-American, Choctaw, and Irish/British in origin. My ancestors have been based along the genesis of the Mississippi River near the Great Lakes and the feet of the Mississippi River in Louisiana. My passions include midwifery, ecology, cartography, song, and dance.

Hannah Elizabeth Tracy Young
Masters Student in Earth Systems, admitted Autumn 2018
BioHannah is an undergraduate in the Earth Systems Program with a focus on Land Systems and is primarily interested in land use and the methods used to monitor land use change. She is a student advisor for the Earth Systems program as well as a docent at Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve. Hannah is originally from Spearfish, South Dakota located in the beautiful Black Hills where she gained a love for the environment at an early age. Her passion has continued to grow throughout her time at Stanford with engaging courses on campus, studying abroad in Australia, and working as the naturalist at Stanford Sierra Camp. Outside of her academics, she can be found hiking, mountain biking, climbing, doing crosswords, or enjoying a nice cup of coffee.
