BioAs the Judaica and Hebraica curator, I select and collect material by or about Jews, in any format (from manuscript fragments to Israeli Yiddish theater posters and spiral-bound community cookbooks), in any language, produced anywhere. Anna Lee
Photography Curator, Special Collections
Current Role at StanfordAs the Photography Curator for the Department of Special Collections at Stanford Libraries, I develop collections of photographs and photographers' archives that support research, teaching, and exhibition. I approach photography as both an artistic medium and a historical document, while also considering its role as social practice. In building collections, I aim to preserve not only individual artistic practices but also the people, relationships, and cultural contexts that shape how photographs are made and understood. I also curate exhibitions, write about photographic history, and teach with original archival materials.
