Siavash Moghadami

BioSiavash is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Chemical and Systems Biology at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he is advised by Professor Carolyn Bertozzi. His research focuses on the chemical biology of human aging, resilience, and homeostasis.
Before Stanford, Siavash earned his B.S./M.S. in Biochemistry and Chemical Biology from the University of California, San Diego, graduating summa cum laude with the highest departmental distinction and honors.
An immigrant pursuing the American dream, Siavash is deeply grateful to the United States for giving him a new home and a path to higher education and scientific discovery. He sees his research on aging as a way to give back, honoring the opportunities he found here while helping protect the health and independence of his own loved ones and others. -
Aadhityaa Mohanavelu
Ph.D. Student in Civil and Environmental Engineering, admitted Autumn 2023
BioAadhityaa Mohanavelu is a Ph.D. candidate in the Osman Lab at Stanford University, where he works on quantifying water and infrastructure challenges and developing more equitable and resilient infrastructure systems. His research uses tools and techniques from diverse disciplines, including computational modeling, artificial intelligence, qualitative methodology, spatial analysis, and sensor-based experiments, to better understand infrastructure and environmental problems and develop innovative solutions.
He has a strong background in modeling hydro-climatic systems, studying infrastructure resilience, and assessing environmental hazards. Aadhityaa is a 2023 Quad Fellow in the inaugural cohort. Outside research, he loves to hike, read books and travel.
