Rachel Schten
Juris Doctor Student, Law
BioI am a first year student at Stanford Law School with broad interests across both private and public practice.
Prior to Stanford Law School, I studied Environmental Economics & Policy and Urban Studies at UC Berkeley where I worked as the Research and Administrative Assistant of Professor Karen Chapple who chaired the Department of City and Regional Planning there.
I also previously worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Community Innovation and the Urban Displacement Project where I worked on research investigating housing, displacement and exclusion in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition, I was awarded a Greater Good Science Center Fellowship and a College of Environmental Design Diversity Platforms Initiative Award Grant for my research project on the intersection of COVID-19, disability, and disaster planning.
In both my academics and career, I've always been most engaged by challenges requiring multi-faceted yet targeted solutions. -
