Hongmin Ahn

BioHongmin Ahn is an incoming Ph.D. student in Religious Studies at Stanford University. He holds a Master of Theological Studies (MTS) from Harvard Divinity School, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Religion from Bard College. As an interdisciplinary scholar, Hongmin focuses on modern transnational religions in Korea and Japan, with a particular focus on Zainichi—the Korean diaspora in post-colonial Japan. His research explores the transnational networks of Zainichi religions that connect Korea, Japan, and the global Korean diaspora. Before coming to Stanford, he was an IAFOR Global Fellow at the Osaka School of International Public Policy, the University of Osaka.
