Tiffany (Qianru) Yang
Postdoctoral Scholar, Education
BioTiffany is a postdoctoral fellow with the Stanford Impact Labs postdoctoral fellowship program. She received her Ph.D. in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2024, concentrating in Human Development, Learning and Teaching, along with a Secondary Field in Data Science from the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Prior to her doctoral training, she received a B.A. in psychology from the University of Washington, Seattle, and an Ed.M. in human development and psychology from Harvard University. Tiffany’s research examines how early experiences influence children’s cognitive development and learning, with a particular focus on the role of the home environment and family interactions. This work aims to identify culturally situated factors that support the development of foundational cognitive skills in early to middle childhood, especially among underrepresented populations.

Wenhao Yang
Postdoctoral Scholar, Management Science and Engineering
BioI'm a postdoctoral researcher in Department of Management Science and Engineering (MS&E) at Stanford University, hosted by Prof. Jose Blanchet.
Prior to that, I recieved my Ph.D. at Peking Univerisity in 2023, where I was advised by Prof. Zhihua Zhang. Previously, I received my Bachelor's degree in Statistics from School of Mathematical Sciences, Peking University in 2018.
My research interests lie broadly in the intersection areas among probability, statistics and machine learning, with applications spanning operations research, reinforcement learning, and deep learning. Specifically, I am interested in establishing statistical theories for modern large-scale models and designing practical algorithms with theoretical guarantees.
I am on the 2024-2025 job market looking for full-time academia positions. I am happy to discuss any opportunities!

Xiao Yang
Postdoctoral Scholar, Psychiatry
BioXiao Yang is a Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute Interdisciplinary Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University, working jointly in the laboratories of Professor Sergiu P. Pașca (Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences) and Professor Bianxiao Cui (Chemistry). She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Harvard University under the guidance of Professor Charles M. Lieber in 2020, and her B.S. in Chemistry from the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at Peking University in 2015.
Dr. Yang will join the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University as an Assistant Professor in June 2025.
Dr. Yang drew inspiration from biological systems and art forms to design and develop a series of bio-inspired and art-inspired bioelectronics. Her studies encompass neural probes for in vivo brain-machine interface, electronic scaffolds for brain repair, and platforms for detecting human genetic diseases and tracking human neural development using human brain organoids.
Bioelectronic devices are important as fundamental research tools for probing and understanding the brain with high spatiotemporal resolution, and as potential therapeutic avenues for treating brain diseases, disorders, and injuries. However, they face key challenges, such as achieving biomimicry at the molecular level, expanded multifunctionality at the microscale, and versatile programmability at the macroscale. The Yang Lab will address these challenges by integrating bioelectronics, bioengineering, chemistry, materials science, and neuroscience. We aim to develop novel bioelectronics and biomaterials for brain-machine interfaces, regenerative medicine, and the study of human neural development and diseases.
