Manuel Iglesias Soilán

BioManuel Iglesias Soilán holds a degree in psychology and a master's in educational psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), where he completed his PhD with co-supervision from Harvard University. He strengthened his expertise in university teaching, learning, and management through training at the University of Buenos Aires and Harvard Business School Publishing. He began his career at UCM's University Guidance Service, later receiving a predoctoral fellowship jointly awarded by UCM and the Real Colegio Complutense (RCC) at Harvard University. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), an Instructor at Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education, and a Visiting Lecturer at Stanford University’s BOSP-Madrid. His research focuses on university teaching and learning, with collaborations in the United States, Spain, and Latin America (including research stays at Harvard, Stanford and the Universidad Tecnológica Privada de Santa Cruz [UTEPSA]). Soilán also serves as Visiting Fellow of the Instructional Moves project at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and co-chairs the University Teaching and Learning in the Twenty-first Century study group at the RCC at Harvard University. He co-directs a service-learning project and leads a team in the Advanced Research Training Seminars (ARTS) program of the International Association of Applied Psychology. Beyond academia, he founded TEDxUCM. He received FEVOCAM's Te Atreves award and was selected as one of Banco Santander's 60 Young Leaders for Education, selected from 30,000 applicants worldwide.
