BioNeida Basheer Ahmad, Ph.D., is a Social Science Researcher in the Walkout! Lab for Youth Justice, focusing on a project that aims to understand the education paths that lead to and through incarceration for youth to shed light on the impact of multiple oppressions and intersectional challenges on their lives. She earned her Ph.D. from the Race, Inequality, and Language in Education program in the Stanford Graduate School of Education in 2024. Her research interests include intersectionality, critical policy analysis, language policy, bilingual education, raciolinguistic ideologies, ethnic studies, and culturally sustaining pedagogies. Her research explores the co-naturalization of language and race in language policy making and implementation. She is also concerned about asymmetrical power relationships in research and seeks to create reciprocal relationships with her research participants.
