  BioNeida Basheer Ahmad, Ph.D., is a Social Science Researcher in the Walkout! Lab for Youth Justice, focusing on a project that aims to understand the education paths that lead to and through incarceration for youth to shed light on the impact of multiple oppressions and intersectional challenges on their lives. She earned her Ph.D. from the Race, Inequality, and Language in Education program in the Stanford Graduate School of Education in 2024. Her research interests include intersectionality, critical policy analysis, language policy, bilingual education, raciolinguistic ideologies, ethnic studies, and culturally sustaining pedagogies. Her research explores the co-naturalization of language and race in language policy making and implementation. She is also concerned about asymmetrical power relationships in research and seeks to create reciprocal relationships with her research participants.

  BioNaomi is a fourth-year medical student at Seoul National University, expecting to graduate in February 2024. She earned her bachelor's degree Summa Cum Laude from Washington University in St. Louis in December 2018, majoring in Biology and minoring in Chinese Language & Culture. Although she has quite a long way to go before becoming a compassionate physician-scientist, Naomi has accumulated many years of research and clinical experience in the field of medicine, ranging from the molecular level to the population level.
