Jon Bernstein
Professor of Pediatrics (Genetics) and, by courtesy, of Genetics
Current Research and Scholarly InterestsMy research is focused on the diagnosis, discovery and delineation of rare genetic conditions with a focus on neurodevelopmental disorders. This work includes the application of novel computational methods and multi-omics profiling (whole genome sequencing, long-read DNA sequencing, RNA sequencing, methylomics, metabolomics). I additionally participate in an interdisciplinary project to develop induced pluripotent stem cell and assembloid models of genetic neurodevelopmental disorders.

Hind Bouzid
Program Manager, Medical Genetics, Pediatrics - Genetics
BioDr. Hind Bouzid received a BS and MS in Genetics from Université Paris Diderot, France. She then joined Gustave Roussy Cancer Institute, where she pursued a PhD in Hematology/Oncology, studying the genetic mechanisms underlying the progression of inherited hematologic disorders to leukemia.
She subsequently conducted research in hematopoietic stem cell gene therapy at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, followed by postdoctoral training at Stanford University, where she studied clonal hematopoiesis in the context of neurodegenerative disease. She later transitioned to biotechnology, working in translational medicine with a focus on biomarker strategies and early-phase clinical trials for immune-mediated diseases.
Passionate about rare genetic diseases and translational medicine, Dr. Bouzid is dedicated to advancing innovative research and fostering multidisciplinary collaborations that accelerate scientific discovery and clinical progress.
