Sitara Noor
Postdoctoral Scholar, Political Science
BioSitara Noor is a Stanton Nuclear Security Fellow at Stanford University, California. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science in July 2025 from University of Vienna. Her research interests include nuclear security, non-proliferation, and strategic stability, with a particular focus on South Asia. She was formerly a Managing the Atom Fellow at Belfer Center from 2022 to 2024. In 2023, she was a Fellow at the NATO Defense College in Rome. She also held the position of Research Fellow at VCDNP in Vienna, Austria, during 2016-2017. Earlier in her career, she worked as an International Relations Analyst at Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority.
In addition to her research roles, Noor has taught as a lecturer at several institutions, including the National University of Modern Languages, the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Quaid-i-Azam University, the Foreign Services Academy of Pakistan, and the Information Services Academy of Pakistan.
Noor was a member of the International Panel of Experts for the Nuclear Security Index 2023, published by the Nuclear Threat Initiative. She has also been a South Asian Voices Visiting Fellow at the Stimson Center (2019–2020), a Visiting Fellow at Sandia National Laboratories (2019 and 2013), and at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies in Monterey, California (2013).
From 2012 to 2020, she served as Country Coordinator for the University of Gothenburg's "Variety of Democracy" project. Noor frequently contributes to national and international platforms, including Foreign Policy, Al Jazeera, The News, The National Interest, The Diplomat, and South Asian Voices at the Stimson Center, writing extensively on nuclear security and related topics. -
Douglas Noordsy
Clinical Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
BioDouglas L. Noordsy, MD, is Clinical Professor, Director of Lifestyle Psychiatry and co-founder of the Sports Psychology & Psychiatry clinic in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Noordsy was previously Professor of Psychiatry at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. His research interests include effects of physical exercise on neurotrophic factors, brain volume and function and mental health and wellbeing. He is particularly interested in the role of physical exercise for prevention of progression of early psychosis and interactions between social and physical aspects of team sports. Dr. Noordsy is a member of the American College of Psychiatry, American College of Lifestyle Medicine and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He is a member of the editorial boards for Community Mental Health Journal and Mental Health & Physical Activity. Dr. Noordsy was recognized with the Exemplary Psychiatrist Award from the National Alliance on Mental Illness in 2001, and the Excellence in Leadership Award from the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Stanford in 2018. He launched the Stanford Lifestyle & Sports Psychiatry Special Initiative of the Department of Psychiatry in 2024 and is seeking philanthropic partners.

Kristin M. Nord, MD
Clinical Professor, Dermatology
BioKristin M. Nord, M.D., is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology and served as Residency Program Director from 2012-2022. Dr. Nord received her doctor of medicine from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and completed her residency in Dermatology at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Nord is Attending Physician at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, where her clinical interests are general dermatology, complex medical dermatology and procedural dermatology, and she serves as Assistant Co-Chief of Dermatologic Surgery. Her research focus is on skin cancer education and prevention, and she is co-faculty lead for SUNSPORT (Stanford University Sun Protection Outreach Research and Teamwork).

Justin Norden, MD, MBA, MPhil

BioDr. Justin Norden is an Adjunct Professor at Stanford Medicine in the Department of Biomedical Informatics Research. He teaches courses on digital health and AI in Medicine. His research focuses on AI in healthcare, digital health, and care system transformation.
Additionally, Dr. Norden is a Partner at GSR Ventures where he focuses on early-stage investments in digital health and AI/ML in healthcare. Prior to GSR Ventures, Dr. Norden was founder and CEO of Trustworthy AI which was acquired by Waymo (Google Self-Driving). He worked on the healthcare team at Apple, co-founded Indicator (an NLP based platform for biopharma decision making), and helped start the Stanford Center for Digital Health.
Dr. Norden received an MD from Stanford University School of Medicine, where he served as student body president. An MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he served as president of the healthcare club. An M.Phil in Computational Biology with distinction from the University of Cambridge, and a BA in Computer Science with distinction from Carleton College.
Finally, he is a professional athlete for the Oakland Spiders (ultimate frisbee) - holding the team all-time records for assists and completions. He is a 3x World Champion, 1x professional champion, former Team USA Captain (U24), and D1 University National Champion.
