Milenia's research focuses on integrating cost-effective, earth-abundant metal catalysts into membrane electrode assembly water electrolyzers for hydrogen production. Her goal is to reduce production costs, extend lifespan, and enhance scalability to support the energy transition. She is part of the Emerson Consequential Scholars Program and works part time at the office of technology transfer. She graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester.

Serial entrepreneur and part time lecturer in Entrepreneurship at CSUMB, Tom Rolander is the former CIO / Software Architect for 4 years at Ecopia Farms in Campbell, CA. As a co-founder of several previous successful startups, Rolander has been in key management and engineering leadership roles. At Digital Research he was VP of Operating Systems, where he designed the multi-tasking (MP/M) and network (CP/NET) operating systems and was acquired by Novell. At KnowledgeSet he was VP of Engineering, where he led the development of the first encyclopedia (Grolier) on CD-ROM and was acquired by Banta. At PGSoft he was founding CEO and VP of Engineering, where he led the development of the iFolder and was acquired by Novell. At CrossLoop he was the founding CEO and CTO as the lead developer of the CrossLoop screen sharing products and was acquired by AVG.
Rolander's honors and awards include the Computer History Museum video recording of Tom Rolander's oral history (2016), the Keynote Address at the Greater Vision 2015 Event Co-hosted by CSUMB and the Grower Shipper Association, the 2013 Diamond Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence from the College of Engineering at the University of Washington, the NYU-Poly 2009 Spirit of Innovation Award, delivering the 2009 EE Commencement Address at the University of Washington, a US Patent "Server for Synchronization of Files" in 2006, and for iFolder as the 2003 Codie Award for Best Storage Software. Rolander holds MSEE and BSCE degrees from the University of Washington, Seattle. -

Dana Nirel Romalis
Clinical Assistant Professor, Medicine - Vaden Health Center
BioDana Romalis has been a board certified Family Medicine physician since 2004. She enjoys taking care of families throughout all phases of life. Special interests include teaching, collaborative care, preventative medicine, behavioral change, and reproductive and adolescent health. Since 2017, she has been a primary care provider at the Life Connections Health Center in San Jose, caring for Cisco employees and their families.
She was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, where she also attended medical school at the University of British Columbia. As an undergraduate at Brandeis University, she double majored in Neuroscience and Psychology, and was captain of the women’s varsity diving team. She did her residency at Montefiore Medical Center’s Residency Program of Social Medicine in the Bronx, NY.
Prior to joining Stanford’s primary care division in 2017, she worked for 10 years as a primary care physician on Santa Clara Valley Medical Center's interdisciplinary Homeless Healthcare Program. She is committed to comprehensive and compassionate care for all.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 college-aged children, reading, hiking, and volunteering in her community.
