She is a Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Foundation Fellow visiting from Boston University School of Medicine (Class of 2029) and earned her undergraduate degree in mathematics from Johns Hopkins University. Her research interests center on applying fluid mechanics and computational modeling to solve problems in pediatric cardiac surgery.

Areas of recent interest include developing practical tools to more accurately identify adverse medical events and to establish national rates of these adverse events. Additional areas of interest focus on developing the processes and systems to decrease the frequency of adverse drug events and adverse medical events at Children's hospitals in North America
