Eric Pop
Pease-Ye Professor, Professor of Electrical Engineering, Senior Fellow at the Precourt Institute for Energy and Professor, by courtesy, of Materials Science and Engineering and of Applied Physics
On Leave from 2026-10-01 To 2027-03-31Current Research and Scholarly InterestsThe Pop Lab explores problems at the intersection of nanoelectronics and nanoscale energy conversion. These include fundamental limits of current and heat flow, energy-efficient transistors and memory, and energy harvesting via thermoelectrics. The Pop Lab also works with novel nanomaterials like carbon nanotubes, graphene, BN, MoS2, and their device applications, through an approach that is experimental, computational and highly collaborative.

Rita Popat
Associate Professor (Teaching) of Epidemiology
Current Research and Scholarly InterestsMy research interest focuses on the epidemiology of Parkinsons disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, specifically evaluating the genetic and environmental contributions to these neurodegenerative disorders. I am also interested in studying the relation of cognition, estradiol exposure (endogenous and exogenous), and genetic factors.

Dr. Gerald R. Popelka, PhD
Consulting Professor of Otolaryngology
Senior Scientist, Rad/Radiological Sciences LaboratoryCurrent Research and Scholarly InterestsMy long term research effort is centered on understanding and accurately measuring normal and abnormal sensory function at the periphery and within the brain. I have long been involved with the auditory system. My goals include specifically understanding the basic mechanisms of hearing and hearing loss and developing effective and safe interventions that include surgical intervention, wearable devices, and therapeutic interventions.
