Angela Roberts Selzer
Clinical Professor, Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine
BioDr Angela Selzer is a Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology at Stanford University and Vice Chair of Perioperative Medicine. She completed her medical degree at Cornell University in New York City, as well as residency and dual fellowships in Thoracic and Acute Pain/Regional Anesthesia. Clinically, she is interested in leveraging the preoperative period to optimize patients prior to surgery, improving measurable post surgical outcomes and patient experience. She loves the collaborative and multidisciplinary aspect of this work. She is the current President of the Society for Preoperative Assessment and Quality Improvement (SPAQI) and member of the ASA Center for Perioperative Medicine (CPMed). Other professional interests include, perioperative anaphylaxis evaluation, penicillin allergy delabelling and preoperative sleep apnea testing.
