BioBernd Hofmann received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, Augsburg, Germany, in 2015, and the M.Sc. and Dr.-Ing. degrees in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Munich, Germany, in 2017 and 2024, respectively.
From Jan. 2025 to Feb. 2026, he was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Southern California, CA. Since Mar. 2026 he is a postdoctoral scholar with the Stanford University. His current research interests include computational electromagnetics, in particular, high-order accurate integral equation methods, and antenna near-field measurement techniques. -
Lawrence "Rusty" Hofmann, MD

BioDr. Lawrence “Rusty” Hofmann is an actively practicing physician and Professor of Interventional Radiology at Stanford School of Medicine, as well as the Chief of Industry Partnerships for Stanford Healthcare, Medical Director of Cardiac and Interventional Services, and the Medical Director of Digital Health at Stanford Medicine. He served as Chief of Interventional Radiology at Stanford for nearly two decades. He is the Co-Founder of Grand Rounds, Inc, rebranded as Included Health. He has devoted his career to providing state-of-the-art care to patients at either Johns Hopkins, where he practiced for 10 years, or Stanford, where he practiced for 15 years. He has published over 100 scientific articles on minimally invasive treatment of blood clots (DVT) and cancer. He has always had in interest in innovation. He holds 2 patents, has worked as a consultant for numerous medical device companies, both start-ups and large companies and is currently the Global-Principal Investigator for the first clinical trial testing a venous stent. He has invented and brought a number of devices from napkin stage to world-wide use. He has active digital health research projects at the intersection of artificial intelligence and clinical care, including telemedicine and deep venous thrombosis.

Mark J. Hogan

BioI am a Senior Staff Scientist at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. I earned my Ph.D. in physics from UCLA in 1998 under Claudio Pellegrini working on Self Amplified Spontaneous Emission free electron laser experiments at UCLA and Los Alamos National Laboratory. I joined SLAC in 1998 to work on the beam driven plasma wakefield accelerator experiments at the Final Focus Test Beam facility. I have subsequently served as the leader of the Advanced Accelerator Research Department and the Chief Scientist for the FACET Facility. I am now the Director of the FACET-II National User Facility and the FACET and Test Facilities Division Director. I am a Fellow of the American Physical Society, a Senior Member of the IEEE. In 2013 received the IEEE Particle Accelerator Science and Technology Award and in 2024 was awarded the John Dawson AAC Prize. My personal research interests seek to develop ideas for the application of plasma acceleration to linear colliders and free electron lasers.
