BioLuis has been a technology transfer professional at Stanford for over 30 years. He is a volunteer for Climate Donor, Inc. a non-profit that helps fund climate change and species extinction mitigation projects. Prior to joining Stanford he worked on solar energy systems and energy management at Honeywell and Pacific Gas & Electric. He has a degree in Energy Systems Engineering from Arizona State University, is a Fellow of the Disruptor Foundation and is a recipient of an award for Excellence in Technology Transfer from the Department of Energy, Federal Laboratory Consortium.

Kali A. Miller, Ph.D.
Research Safety Specialist, Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S)
BioKali A. Miller is a Research Safety Specialist for shared facilities in the Department of Environmental Health & Safety at Stanford University. Kali received her Ph.D. and B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under the supervision of Professors Paul Braun and Steven Zimmerman, where her work focused on rational design of molecular therapeutics and the synthesis and kinetic processes of designed polymers. Before joining Stanford, Dr. Miller worked at the American Chemical Society in their Publications Division to launch the ACS Center for Laboratory Safety and the journal ACS Chemical Health & Safety. She led a variety of society-wide safety initiatives and oversaw an industrial and chemical safety portfolio of three scientific journals. Previously, Kali also worked as a lab manager at the Beckman Institute to support research in interdisciplinary lab spaces and participated in the Illinois Joint Safety Team, founding a National ACS workshop on student laboratory safety teams.
