Bio
Dr. Bryce Jacobson is a Lead Scientist in the Linac and FEL Division of the Accelerator Directorate at SLAC. Since 2017, he has served as the Department Head for the Diagnostics and Applications Development group. The department is responsible for inventing new hardware and novel methods that advance the state of the art in electron beam diagnostics and physics analysis software, advancing science capabilities and enhancing reliability. Prior to joining SLAC, Dr. Jacobson work 5 years in accelerator private industry managing a multi-million dollar research program portfolio in scientific and industrial applications. During his PhD and Post Doctoral Fellowship, Dr. Jacobson played a key role on a small team of experts building and commissioning the University of Hawaii Free Electron Laser Facility.
