Bio

Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator in Dr. Joe Hsu Lab, part of the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine in Stanford University School of Medicine. I received my medical school degree from Universidad de Oriente in Venezuela (2020) and plan to apply for medical residency in the future. I am currently coordinating 2 National Institute of Health sponsored trials along with 1 industry sponsored study. My main research is a 1-year observational study of acute respiratory infections in immunocompromised patients, designed to better understand the changing epidemiology of community acquired viral infections in a post-COVID era. This position has also given me the opportunity to improve my scientific communication skills by participating as a co-author on 2 manuscripts that are pending submission. In addition, I have participated in clinical shadowing of Dr. Hsu during his outpatient pulmonary Graft-versus-Host-Disease clinic and during his rounds attending in the Cardiovascular Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of Stanford Hospital.
