Dr. Sheckter is a graduate from the Stanford Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency currently pursuing additional training in Surgical Critical Care at the University of Washington. His clinical interests include acute burn care, reconstructive scar management, and critical care for severe trauma injuries. His research involves understanding the role of reconstructive surgery in improving the quality of life for those with disfiguring scars. He's also interested in health systems design as it relates to the delivery of high value wound and burn care. Likewise, he studies the influence of economic forces on surgical decision making and outcomes.
