Bio


Courtney L'Esperance joined Academic Advising (formerly "Undergraduate Advising & Research" or "UAR") in 2016. In her current role as the Associate Director of Advising Systems, Courtney serves as the System Administrator for department-wide technology tools and platforms and leads collaboration efforts with other departments to develop systematic and technology solutions to streamline processes and optimize user experiences.

As a part of the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, the mission of Academic Advising is to welcome, connect, and support all Stanford undergraduate students and to help them make the most of their Stanford education. The Office of Academic Advising is broadly responsible for the transition of new undergraduate students to Stanford, academic advising, and academic progress and policy.

Courtney earned her MBA from Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business in 2019 and holds a BS degree in Recreation, Parks & Tourism Administration from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, with an emphasis in Event Planning and Tourism Management. In 2017, Courtney was the recipient of the inaugural "Spirit of UAR" award, where she was recognized for inspiring others through her collaborative work, respectful relationships, and joyful spirit. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family and exploring California's beautiful Central Coast.
