Bio

Geoffrey Engel, MD, PhD, is a Stanford PGY-2 psychiatry resident and member of the Social Medicine and Humanities Research Track. He graduated from Harvard Medical School in 2025. His clinical and scholarly interests center on addiction, dynamical systems approaches to mental illness, psychoanalysis, and philosophy of psychiatry, with a particular focus on how novel changes occur in the healing process.
