Bio
Dr. Jennifer Huber received her PhD in physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her graduate research focused on developing part of the Cherenkov Ring Imaging Detector for the SLD experiment at SLAC. She also worked as a postdoctoral researcher on SLD’s silicon-tungsten luminosity monitor. Dr. Huber then changed her field of research to medical imaging instrumentation. She became a research scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) in Berkeley California, where she helped developed new medical imaging scanners for improved cancer detection. She is now an affiliate at LBNL’s Molecular Biophysics and Integrated Bioimaging division. She also runs her own sole-proprietor business as a science writer, technical writer, editor, and writing instructor (https://scientiststalkfunny.com/).
