Jennifer joined the E-IPER team in August 2011. As Assistant Director, Jennifer's focus is on the PhD program and includes management of the admissions cycle, site visits, orientation, degree progress, student funding, website content, and Commencement. Additionally, Jennifer tracks Joint MS degree progress and serves as the E-IPER liaison with central offices at Stanford as well as with the School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences. Prior to joining the E-IPER team, Jennifer worked in the Department of Biology Student Services Office here on campus for over seven years and was involved in everything from undergraduate and research advising to PhD admissions. She also has prior student services experience at UC Berkeley and UC Santa Barbara.
Jennifer has an MA in Education-Higher Education Administration from San Jose State University and a BA in Law & Society with a Minor in Anthropology from UC Santa Barbara. During her senior year at UC Santa Barbara, Jennifer was lucky enough to sail around the world with the Semester at Sea program.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys hiking, traveling, and volunteering at the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA and at Pound Puppy Rescue.
