Bio
Leslie Hart is the music specialist at Bing Nursery School at Stanford University and an active freelance French horn player in the San Francisco Bay Area. In her role at Bing, Leslie provides opportunities for young children to compose and improvise through play while supporting community music learning in research, documentation, educator seminars, parent education events, performance series, and sing-alongs. Leslie completed a dual Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Horn Performance and Music Teaching and Learning from the Eastman School of Music with mentor Christopher Azzara. Current research includes the role of documentation with young children in play-based settings and creating an AI model to support play in music.
