Current Research and Scholarly Interests

Most of my work is in normative and practical ethics, and spans topics in moral and political philosophy as well as the philosophy of law. I am especially interested in the ethics of rescue and duties to prevent harm to others, the thrills and challenges of non-consequentialist ethics, global and rectificatory justice, and – more recently and inescapably – the ethics of artificial intelligence and digital technology, in particular, the ethics of delegating to AI. Much of my work concerns areas where these fields overlap.
