Bio


Prior to my current position, I served as Senior Director of Administration in the School of Humanities and Sciences Dean's Office. Over my 26 years at Stanford University, I also worked in various finance, research administration, and leadership roles in the Departments of Psychology, Sociology, Chemistry, Math, and others in the School of Medicine. In addition, I've completed the year-long Leadership@Stanford program, served for several years as a coach to other managers participating in Stanford's Manager Academy, coached students in Stanford's Mind Over Money program, mentor local at-risk high school students, and most recently joined the Board of Directors of Puente de la Costa Sur. Experience prior to Stanford includes administrative and financial positions within city government and for-profit organizations of various sizes.

Current Role at Stanford


I currently serve as Director of Finance and Administration for the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. I'm responsible for leading and overseeing the administrative functions of the department including finance and accounting, faculty affairs, human resources, student and postdoctoral scholar services, academic program management, facilities, and general administration. The department offers undergraduate, masters and doctoral programs in Materials Science, and conducts outstanding and varied research across the field.
