Bio


Madison works with the Communications, Web, and Events team at the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment to produce editorial, social media, video, website, and other content that connects environment and sustainability research to action. She uses solutions-oriented multimedia storytelling to inform, inspire, and imagine a just and equitable environmental future.

Prior to joining the Woods Institute, Madison served as the inaugural Science Communication Fellow at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI), where she produced digital content to engage a broad audience in the wonders of deep-sea natural history, ocean exploration, and technology. She completed editorial internships with the Bill Lane Center for the American West and bioGraphic at the California Academy of Sciences. She has created social media and video content for the Stanford EARTH communications team.

Madison is an alumna of the Stanford Earth Systems program and completed a Master of Arts degree in Earth Systems, Environmental Communication. She holds a B.S. in Earth Systems with a focus on Oceans, Atmosphere, and Climate and a Notation in Science Communication with Distinction from Stanford University.
