Bio
Michelle Gapay is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurology and Neuromuscular Medicine. She graduated from UCSF in 2007 and has over 18 years of experience in Neurology. After graduating from the University of California, San Francisco she trained as an NP at NYU Langone Health for 14 years and was the senior practitioner on the inpatient neurology service. She was also the Stroke Coordinator for NYU Langone. Michelle also has experience in General Neurology, Neuro Critical Care, Epilepsy, and Multiple Sclerosis. She moved back home to the Bay Area in 2021 where she started working at Stanford. She currently works with Dr. John Day and the entire Neuromuscular Division seeing patients with various neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS, SMA, and other various Muscular Dystrophies.
