Bio
Patrick Hynes is Senior Manager of Research Communities at HAI and has spent his career building global partnerships and developing impactful programmatic strategy across the academic, public, private, and philanthropic sectors. Prior to joining HAI, Patrick served as the North America Lead for Outreach & Partnerships within the Trust & Safety team at TikTok and, before that, he led Industry Partnerships for the World Economic Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in San Francisco, where he worked with global business leaders, cvil society organizations, and government officials to identify opportunities to maximize the societal benefits of advanced technology. Along with the Forum and TikTok, Patrick has worked or consulted for MIT, Two Sigma Investments, the Clinton Global Initiative, and the Open Society Foundations. Outside of work, Patrick is a passionate long-distance runner, who is still trying to run fast even though it gets a little tougher every year.
