Paul E. Krumpoeck is a PhD student in Neuroscience at the Medical University of Vienna. His current research as a visiting scholar at the Stankovic Lab at Stanford Medicine focuses on artificial intelligence-guided discovery of novel genetic factors underlying hearing loss, which entails functional and histological assessment of genetically engineered mouse models. Having worked with various other experimental models, his background includes research on viral vector-based gene therapy, clinical studies on outcomes of cochlear implantation, and more.
