Peter Arsanyous
Visiting Postdoctoral Scholar, Adult Neurology
Bio
Peter Arsanyous is a Visiting Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the Department of Neurology at Stanford University. He is an ECFMG-certified physician with prior clinical experience in neurology and a strong interest in stroke mechanisms, neuroimaging, and outcomes research.
His current work centers on stroke-related clinical research, including imaging-based evaluation, acute stroke workflows, and secondary prevention. He is particularly interested in the integration of advanced neuroimaging and clinical decision-making in ischemic stroke care.
Dr. Arsanyous earned his medical degree from Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) in Egypt. He has clinical training in neurology and internal medicine and maintains a strong interest in cerebrovascular diseases and the neurobiology of epilepsy.
His research interests align with Stanford’s acute stroke and reperfusion research, particularly the use of advanced neuroimaging to guide treatment decisions, optimize patient selection, and improve functional outcomes in ischemic stroke. He is motivated to contribute to clinical research initiatives and multicenter studies in stroke neurology.
