Peter Rumsey is widely recognized as an innovator in the energy efficiency field. He has designed more LEED Platinum, Zero Energy and radiant cooled buildings than any other engineer in the United States. He is an ASHRAE Fellow and Senior Fellow of Rocky Mountain Institute. He is a lecturer at Stanford University and has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from U.C. Berkeley. Peter founded Rumsey Engineers in 1998 which was acquired by Integral Group in 2009. He then served as Integral’s West Coast Director and Chief Technology Officer. He has consulted to venture capital firms in Silicon Valley and several successful start ups. He has worked worldwide, consulting in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Some of Peter's awards include Renewable Energy Innovator of the Year form the Association of Energy Engineers and the prestigious ASHRAE Engineering Award of Excellence, only the fourth award of this type in ASHRAE's 100 year history.
