Bio


Philip Gilbert is the Student Services Officer for the Program in Science, Technology, and Society. Philip has been serving and building community for students for over five years. Prior to joining Stanford, Philip has worked at the Diversity, Initiatives, and Resource Centers at California State University, Fullerton advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion work on campus and developing inclusive and equitable programs for students. Philip has also served students in various departments/roles at different institutions such academic advising, basic needs, admissions, student organizations, in the classroom, and as a counselor. Philip's passion is holistically serving students on their academic journey, ensuring that they are set up for success, and helping students feel connected to their program, peers, and institution. Philip holds a BA in Communication and Media Studies from Sonoma State University, and a MS in Education with an emphasis in Higher Education from California State University, Fullerton.
