Bio


Abdullah Alamer is an Associate Professor at King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia, and a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University in 2026-2027. Abdullah’s primary research interest lies in the psychology of language learning, with structural equation modeling (SEM) being the dominant method in his work. Abdullah's research has been published in top journals including Educational Psychology Review, Applied Linguistics, Studies in Second Language Acquisition, Language Teaching Research, System, and the British Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology. He has co-authored papers on SEM with leading statisticians such as Joe Hair, Herb Marsh, Alex Morin, and Jörg Henseler. His co-authored paper with Joe Hair about PLS-SEM received +4000 citations within four years from publication.
