How can we help more people learn more about design? And, in so doing, develop problem finders and solvers who bring optimism, curiosity, creativity, judgment, and intentionality to pressing problems faced by people and society.

Reid Bailey studies and practices engineering design education with a focus on process and interdisciplinary systems design. How do people learn design? How do we measure what someone knows about design? How can we make design learning more effective and reach more people?

Reid has created and taught design courses and programs at the University of Virginia, University of Arizona, and University of Dayton, focusing on first-year engineering design and interdisciplinary systems design courses.
