Rima Greenhill
Senior Lecturer in the Language Center
Stanford Language Center
Bio
Rima Greenhill was born and raised in Vilnius, the multilingual capital of Lithuania. Rima has made learning and teaching of foreign languages her life-long passion. She has taught all levels of Russian at Stanford since 1991, and prior to that at the School of Slavonic and East European Languages, London University. She has received the Dean's Award for Distinguished Teaching at Stanford.
Rima's research interests are trade and diplomatic relations between England and Russia under the Tudors and Stuarts. Currently she is completing a book on Russian elements in Shakespeare's comedy Love's Labour's Lost, which elucidates many heretofore opaque references and relationships.
