Bio


Shoshanah directs community engaged learning for engineering, working to strengthen and expand experiential learning opportunities for students through partnerships with local, national, and international communities, bringing 20+ years of industry experience to her role. Shoshanah started her career working in manufacturing and spent more than 20 years in the field of global operations; she was a senior partner with PRTM Management Consultants, where she led PRTM’s global Supply Chain Innovation practice. She has written two books and numerous articles focused on supply chain strategy. Prior to joining the Haas Center, she served as the Director of the Stanford Global Supply Chain Management Forum, an industry-academic partnership housed at the Graduate School of Business. Her teaching focuses on project-based experiential opportunities.

Shoshanah serves as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, where she teaches the senior capstone course, ME 170 A/B, a project-based community engaged sequence. She also teaches Energy and Sustainable Development (Energy 177A/B), a two-quarter, project-based course sequence that address cultural, sociopolitical, organizational, technical, and ethical issues at the heart of implementing sustainable engineering projects in a developing world.

Shoshanah is actively engaged in local community organizations focused on education and services for underserved students. She is a passionate advocate for girls in STEM and coaches a robotics team comprised of 55 girls from 22 high schools.
