Bio


Sonia Bustos is a PhD candidate in the Genetics department currently investigating mechanisms of cancer resistance in the Mexican Axolotl. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of California, Los Angeles and briefly worked as a research associate at the David Geffen School of Medicine where she studied gene therapy approaches for retinal degenerative diseases. Sonia is interested in pursuing a career that combines her love for science and law.
