Bio

Stephanie Carlson serves as the Business Manager at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource (SSRL), part of the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, where she has dedicated over 30 years of service. In her current role, she provides strategic leadership and oversight for all business support functions, including Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, Contractor Assurance, and Procurement.

As a key member of SSRL’s Senior Management team, Stephanie collaborates closely with Group Leaders to develop and implement both long- and short-term strategic plans focused on financial stewardship and workforce development in support of the facility’s scientific mission.

Leading a team of finance and administrative professionals, Stephanie is deeply committed to delivering customer-focused business services that align seamlessly with SLAC’s financial policies and long-term institutional objectives.
