Susie Morales is a first-generation college graduate who considers herself a Bay Area native even though she grew up in Southern California. She is inspired by her mom who immigrated from Mexico to give her family a better life and hopes to make her proud by continuing her legacy of advocacy and community. Specifically, Susie is motivated to be a part of the LSP Team to find ways to create pathways for higher education through community leadership.

Susie earned her AA in Political Science from Fullerton College, her BA in Political Science from UC Berkeley (Go Bears?), and her Ed.M in Higher Education from Harvard University. After graduating from Cal, Susie worked for education non-profits focused on college access and college success for first-generation students from marginalized communities. However, as a former transfer student, she realized that admission did not guarantee college access so she pursued a master's in Higher Education.

You can find Susie eating burritos, listening to her Spanish “cleaning playlist” (even though she’s not cleaning), and watching every show imaginable ever. Yes, she is always looking for recommendations.
