Bio
Tobias Dong, MD, PhD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine and Stanford School of Medicine. He obtained his MD/PhD from the University of California, Irvine, with his PhD thesis in Immunology. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Southern California, before joining the Oncology Hospitalist program at Stanford in its inaugural year. His past research work has been in imaging calcium signaling dynamics in T cell function, in particular that of regulatory T cells, as well as the creation of a transgenic mouse model with a genetically encoded calcium indicator. His current interests include inpatient oncology care, cancer mortality, and medical education.
